Days of Wonder Announces a New Game: Five Tribes

Though their recent games have been hit-or-miss affairs--at least, the ones not tied to a series--Days of Wonder is still a solid publisher, and I eagerly look forward to their new releases. Their latest is Five Tribes, a Euro game from Bruno Cathala (Cyclades, Shadows Over Camelot, Mr. Jack).

According to the Days of Wonder site, "...in a unique twist on the now-standard “worker placement” genre, the game begins with the meeples already in place – and players must cleverly maneuver them over the villages, markets, oasis and sacred places tiles that make up Naqala.  How, when, and where you dis-place these Five Tribes of Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants, and Viziers determine your victory or failure.

The game is for 2-4 players and takes 40- 80 minutes to play; MSRP is $60. Days of Wonder expects to have a few copies at GenCon, with a regular release in September.

What are your thoughts on this? Sound fun? What's your favorite Days of Wonder game? (That's a tough one, but I'd have to say Memoir 44).
