Kickstarter Weekly--March 21, 2014
/Here we go, folks! We're going to jump right in this week with a handful of Kickstarter Campaigns we think you should take a good look at! Without further delay here's our....
Featured Campaign!
Pirate Den - The Gamesmith, L.L.C.
Why? Because pirates! Pirate Den is a bluffing/risk-management game that will have players backstabbing, looting, and, well...being generally untrustworthy as they try to grab as much loot as possible. Pirate Den is designed by TapleTop producer Boyan Radakovich, and is ready to roll. Funding through Kickstarter will simply help cover getting the game to print and helping it hit shelves on time! This one looks like a good bit of piratey fun!
The campaign ends April 10, and you can get your own copy for a pledge of $25! You can see all the details, right here!
Famous Missions: A Card Game - BigRye and Island Officials
Friend of the blog Jason Tagmire is the designer of this story-based game that gives players a scenario, and sets them to work assembling the best team of celebrities to complete the mission! Who would you pick to help you rescue someone from a burning building? Who would you choose to help you land a plane with a dead pilot? Once teams are picked everyone takes turns defending their team selections. It's no secret Jason loves to play story-based games (Storyteller Cards, anyone?) so this seems like another one in his wheelhouse!
The campaign ends April 17, and it takes a pledge of $20 to get a copy of the game. You can find all of the details, right here!
El Generale: It's Time to Run - Taberna Vagantis Publishing
In this game players run a country seeking wealth. The player with the most money at the end of six turns wins. This one has that boom or bust feel to it: The video seems a little rough, and the gameplay they're describing seems little deeper than a "light wargame," but the idea of players jockeying for position and trying to become the most effective leader seems intriguing!
The campaign end on april 28. And the pledge level is $29 Euros for a copy. You can check out all of the info on the campaign, right here.
Robots on the Line - A Robot Building Board Game - Phil Hunter
Robots on the line looks like a light, fun, set-collection game in which players are factory workers building robots as spare parts become accessible to them. They're trying to fill orders from costumers who are looking to purchase robots with specific traits, like, oh say, a droid that can speak the binary language of their moisture vaporators...
The campaign ends, April 10, and it will cost you a pledge of $46 for a copy of the game (that's an early bird level but there are plenty left!) You can find all of the details right here!
