/Well it's full-on Fall! Football, leaves, apples, pumpkins--the whole nine yards. That also means a lot of the campaigns we've been looking forward to after seeing previews at the summer conventions are starting to hit Kickstarter! Including this week's featured campaign...

Lanterns: The Harvest Festival - Foxtrot Games
In Lanterns you'll play the part of an artisan charged with decorating the lake for the Harvest Festival in Imperial China. Lanterns is a really great-looking tile-placement game, with a very cool double-edged feature, in that each tile you place benefits you, and every other player in the game! We're going to be posting our preview of the game here very soon. Spoiler alert: It's good!

Private Die - Mystic Ape Games
It's not just you... It does seem like there's been an increase in dice games hitting Kickstarter lately. For dice fans this is a good thing. Private Die has a unique system where players essentially spend victory points to add dice each round if they don't hit the roll they're looking for, while they race to crack the case. We're also previewing this one soon, so keep an eye out for it!

Mint Tin Games - David Miller
Mint Tin Games is a campaign to launch two micro games: Mint Tin Pirates and Mint Tin Aliens. The games come in... wait for it... Mint Tins... A U.S.A.-sourced product, Mint Tin Pirates has you going head to head with another captain of a pirate ship, while Mint Tin Aliens has players taking the roles of alien students coming to earth to complete school projects. It certainly seems like there's no re-theming of the same game here!

Eminent Domain: Microcosm + TMG Promos - Tasty Minstrel Games
This card-based micro game for two players features multi-use cards and plays in about 10 minutes. This campaign also features sweet free promos! These include 8 Eminent Domain cards--Scenarios and Politics cards, 5 cards for the soon-to-be launched Eminent Domain: Battlecruisers by the ineffable Phillip duBarry, and 1 time-travelling hero for your Dungeon Roll collection! Tasty Minstrel is recovering from getting out a series of micro games, but they're on course and churning out more great games for a great price on Kickstarter--and that's a good thing for the industry!
