Designer Ryan Laukat has created popular games set in his fictional world of Arzium—including Near & Far, Above & Below, and City of Iron. A sleeping sickness has spread across the land, and players are trying to wake them from this terrible fate. It has the signature beautiful artwork we’ve come to expect from Red Raven Games. It’s well past its goal, so join in on the fun!

HAMMER OF THE SCOTS: DELUXE EDITION, BY COLUMBIA GAMES

Columbia Games’ block games are one of the most innovative game systems I’ve ever played. Units are represented by a block that only one player can see, which creates a sort of “fog of war.” And as the units take hits, you simply rotate the block to represent it losing steps. Hammer of the Scots is an excellent game for newcomers to wargames—it’s not huge, and it has relatively simple scenarios and goals. If you’ve ever wanted to dip your toes in the wargame genre, this is a perfect entry point.
