Kickstarter Weekly, February 25, 2019

Who’s ready for another week of content from your friends at Theology of Games?! We’re kicking it off by spotlighting a couple of games on Kickstarter right now. One is from Gamelyn Games, who have been incredibly generous partners with our humble media “empire.” So without further ado, let’s ado this…

TINY EPIC TACTICS BY GAMELYN GAMES

Gamelyn Games is back with their latest game in the Tiny Epic series! I’m constantly amazed at the amount of stuff they’re able to cram into those small boxes, and this is no exception. They’ve got multiple tiers and levels (plus a play mat!) that all fit back into the box. There’s competitive, solo, and cooperative play. This game looks SO cool.

Pricing: $25, for the deluxe edition, plus shipping; $37 for the deluxe plus expansion

Campaign Ends: March 6

Expected Delivery: November 2019

COLOMA BY FINAL FRONTIER GAMES

This game, set in the Wild West gold rush of 1849, has simultaneous action selection, resource management, and engine building—three things we love! It’s got a cool rotating wheel with actions on it. If too many people take the same action, then it “busts” and they can do a lesser action. That sort of bluffing and second-guessing sounds fun. And, admittedly, chaotic. Then the wheel rotates, changing what’s available next turn. This came out of nowhere for us, but now we’re super excited. You might be too. Check it out for yourself!

Pricing: $54 for the retail version, plus shipping; $67, for the deluxe edition, plus shipping

Campaign Ends: March 13

Expected Delivery: November 2019

That’s it for this week! Thanks for reading!
