Kickstarter Weekly -- Feb. 20, 2015
Well, for most of the U.S. it's yet another perfect week for board gaming--i.e. really stinking cold. So start a fire in the fireplace, and curl up with some cardboard, as we take a look at what's going up over on Kickstarter.
Featured Campaign!
Floating Market - A Game of Diced Fruit! - Matthew Riddle - Eagle/Griffin Games
Based on the world-famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Thailand, Floating Market is a dice-based set-collection game, featuring a whole mess of polyhedral dice, a big game board, and a unique style of gameplay that the designers call dice-speculation and worker-placement. This one looks fun, and backing it gets you a really good discount on the retail price!

Rifftrax Live 2015: The Crapenning
We know, this isn't a board-game campaign, but there are certain entities in the geek realm that transcend genre and classification, and well...we believe Rifftrax to be on that level. The guys who were the last known crew members on the Satellite of Love are bringing four more live shows to the big screen nationwide. This year's lineup includes crappy titles such as: The Room, Miami Connection, Sharknado 2, and one of my (Jeremiah) favorite all-time riffs, Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny!

Trickerion - Mindclash Games
David Copperfield, David Blaine, Harry Houdini, Penn & Teller... All of them, amateurs! Players compete against each other to become the most famous illusionists ever. Compete across an entire city, build your team and put on the perfect performance. This one looks deep and fun as your tech tree consists of tricks up your sleeve, so to speak. Definitely an intriguing theme and the campaign is crushing stretch goals with only two left!

Brewin' USA - Adam Rehbarg
With the explosion of craft breweries that the US has seen over the past decade, it's only appropriate that folks start making games about the industry. Brewin' USA is doing just that. Players will create their own brand of craft brew in a game that is distinctly set in the US but plays like a Euro. We of course aren't sure if it tastes great, or is less filling....
