Put a Little Boogie in It--A Single-Take Preview of Boogie Dice and Bots Battleground

More and more, tabletop gaming and electronic innovation are colliding, in an attempt to create a new niche in the tabletop gaming market.

And that brings us to today's preview: Boogie Dice, along with the game Bots Battleground, both currently on Kickstarter...

Boogie Dice are--get this--self-rolling dice! They're activated by loud sounds (snapping fingers or clapping hands), and Bots Battleground is the first game designed to take advantage of this new technology.

Tiny Epic Kingdoms Heroes' Call--A Single-Take Preview

My (Jeremiah's) game of the year for 2014 was Tiny Epic Kingdoms, the first in the Tiny Epic line from Gamelyn games. TEK is a 4X micro game that packs a ton of gameplay into a small package. If you don't know how to play TEK, and/or want to see our thoughts on the base game, you can read our full review right here.

Heroes' Call is the first expansion in the Tiny Epic universe, which doesn't necessarily mean there will be expansions for each of the Tiny Epic games, as was explained to us in this interview.

Knot Dice - A Double-Take Review

Today we're taking a look at Knot Dice, the new project from Matthew O'Malley. You can check out the Kickstarter campaign right here.

Knot Dice is a set of Celtic-patterned custom dice that includes rules for several different games you can play with the dice. These games range from 1-3 players. But you can add more players with another set of dice. The dice are a great pearly green with each side featuring a different piece of a pattern that interconnects with other pieces of the pattern.
